Numa, a 10-year-old French bulldog, and her beloved human, Carlotta, from Venice, chose the signature portraits by Barbara Pigazzi.
The photoshoot took place at Bissuola Park in Mestre, her faithful furry friend’s home.
Carlotta and her dog were captured playing and relaxing, respecting the delicate structure of the French bulldog. As we all know, this is a very particular and sensitive breed in old age, with delicate joint problems and breathing difficulties. This is why Numa couldn’t come to the Animica studio on the island, but instead took her outside, near where she lives.
A special thank you not only for choosing Barbara’s framed fine art prints, but also for participating in the charity initiative promoted by Caterina Murino in collaboration with our photographer, which will be held in Mestre at the Municipal Library from November 14th to 28th.

Carlotta:
“I’ve always wanted Numa, ever since I was a little girl.
One day my parents said, “If you want him, we’ll give him to you,” and from there I started looking… the first time I met Numa, he chose me, and I chose him. I remember there were three puppies, and he pushed them all away and stood between my legs as if to say, “I AM YOURS.” From there, our life together began. May 21, 2015. A wonderful life filled with love, happiness, understanding, worry, pain, but all incredibly beautiful and true.
To this day, I feel like a better person just because he’s by my side; yes, because he’s always by my side thanks to him.
Being sensitive towards animals isn’t a weakness, but an added value. Each of us should have this role. They don’t have the power to speak, we do. They teach us to love, they teach us dedication; they teach us to give without wanting anything in return.
I believe that those who live with an animal can only consider themselves rich. Rich in love.”

Ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio, in perfetta armonia sia con Barbara che con Marco . Persone eccezionali, semplici ma molto molto empatici . Anche Numa si è subito fidato di loro .
