The Paduan photographer Barbara Pigazzi loves to portray unconventional female beauty, with whom the episode of Artbox opens on Sky Arte on Thursday 6 May.
The exhibition Through the shadow and the soul, at the Spazio Kryptos in Milan, testifies to a professional turning point: from the self-portrait her lens turns towards other women, in particular women who experience a condition of pain and suffering. In fact, for the artist suffering has a powerful beauty that must be exhibited, investigated and never hidden. Also on display is Pigazzi’s first short film set in the Venice lagoon, Non Esserci, with the performer Francesca Interlenghi.
