Title of the documentary: Marc (Jacobs) by Sofia (Coppola), the story of a friendship.
A dedication to the life and career of the fashion designer.
Such true and sincere friendships in fashion are extremely rare and precious in intimate stories.
The two met in 1992, when Marc was the most followed emerging designer in the US.
Among his most ardent fans was Sofia, who had been photographed wearing his clothes.
It was platonic love at first sight between the two.
