MIA PHOTO FAIR: TALK 2022

We share the section dedicated to the talk, which took place within the MIA Photo Fair Superstudio Maxi in Milan 1, on 1 May 2022

The talk lasts 20 minutes and talks about how the Animica project was born, in dialogue with Professor Angela Madesani, professor of photography at the IED in Milan and art historian.

ANIMICA is the title of Barbara Pigazzi’s special project, curated by art historian Angela Madesani, exhibited in Milan at MIA PHOTO FAIR XI ED. – from 28 April to 1 May 2022.
The protagonist is the Venetian lagoon and the provinces of Padua and Venice, a UNESCO heritage site.
On display are 16 images, printed on Hahnemühle paper, which propose an anthropized landscape, on which the photographer has been working for many years.
The places are the scene of short stories of the soul, populated with characters, men and women, in which the poetic choice of light and the silence of nature dominate.
For the occasion Barbara Pigazzi created a portfolio of 7 copies, consisting of the 7 most significant photographic images of Animica, always printed on cotton paper.
